Staging Your Product

How can you make your home more appealing to potential buyers? Staging, which is getting a home visually ready to sell.

Bringing furniture into empty homes is a part of staging. Note the difference between the space before and after it is staged. (These photos are from our recently sold listing at 1629 Larch Street. Please see our "Recent Sales 2009" category for more information about this property.)

A few other simple things to do when getting your home ready for potential buyers:

-keep the outside clean and tidy by ensuring the lawn is trimmed and have a few potted plants near the door for a pulled together look

-have the front door freshly painted or stained

-touch up the entry way with some fresh paint and hang a mirror if there isn’t much light

-if there isn’t a foyer, have a console by the door where buyers can have a sense of a future spot to drop their mail or keys

-consider hiring a cleaning service for a thorough clean

-take care of minor repairs

-have bunches of mint or rosemary that naturally freshen the air

-vases of flowers are always appealing

- and definitely ensure the space is uncluttered!!

All the Best,
